About Me

Hi my name is Johnny, I am from Puerto Rico and I started scale modeling at very young age, my dad did models, my two other brothers did models too, they mostly builded cars. I am mostly interested in 1/35 WWII armor, figures and vehicles, 1/48 WWII Airplanes, WWII ships on some occasion,  I have build cars and some science fiction but not my strong, I like to build a model straight out of the box, I do a small amount of research to get the model as accurate as possible, rarely I would buy any extra parts to enhance my model, I do a lot of weathering mostly to cover for my mistakes and to give the model a more realistic look, I think weathering will give a lot of character to a model and help tell the story behind the creation.

I am a Neurophysiologist and the Director of the Neurophysiology Department - IOM services of GNI in Macon, so for me, free time is a luxury, I use scale modeling to take my mind out of work.

I got four kid, one girl in college, one 13 y/o Girl who do models with me and two three year old twins boy and girl

By mentioning that I do scale modeling in my CV, It helped me land a fellow position in a very prestige and Ivy league school of medicine in New Hampshire.

Glad to be part of the club

About Me

Hello all. My primary modeling interest is 1/72 aircraft from WWII to the present. I'm prior military (24+ years in the USAF) and a native Georgian. I enjoy researching the modeling subjects as much (if not more) as building them. I really enjoy building subjects that I can personally relate to: either flown by myself, friends or other native Georgians. My current project is an SBD-3 Dauntless flown by ENS Lewis Hopkins (from Lutherville, GA): one of three SBDs to attack and sink the Japanese carrier Akagi during the Battle of Midway. This will be followed by Col RL Scott's P-40E and Lt Joel Paris' P-40N: both Ga natives, too.  My completed models can be viewed here.

About Me

Hello Everyone,

My name is Paul Melton and I'm an avid car modeler. I enjoy building musclecars and NASCAR. I'm a big fan of 1:1 Musclecars and currently own 3 Z28 Camaros. I currently work at Robins AFB as a C-130 Aircraft Overhaul Supervisor and it is cutting into my model club/modeling time tremendously, hope the pace slows down soon. I'm trying to build comp time for leave so I can attend  more of the model club meetings I so miss!

About Me

I love love love the old Robotech and Macross model kits from the 80s, especially the 1/100 varaible Valkyries by Arii. I am trying to build a small squadron of them now after taking a 20 year break from modeling that started in 1997. I am really digging the modeling convention scene and hope to be helpful in documenting meetings and other things going on here at RLS.
